Areas of Expertise

I am a social psychologist who studies how identities shape our beliefs, attitudes, and behavior. In particular, I study social and political identity development, the psychological mechanisms that drive political polarization, and how group dynamics shape societal outcomes (and vice versa). In both my scholarship and teaching, my aim is to promote collaboration across diverse groups to reach shared humanitarian goals, like climate action and effective public health policy.
